“From Bottle to Bloom: Growing Green, One Sip at a Time”
April 22 – Celebrating Earth Day with Heart, Hands, and Hope!
Dear Parents, Friends, and Supporters,
This Earth Day, the Kalayaan Angono Kids have taken their love for the planet into their own hands—literally! With curiosity, creativity, and care, they’ve turned something as ordinary as used 1.5L soft drink bottles into extraordinary little gardens of life.
♻️ Reuse, Reimagine, Re-green! The children began by cutting and painting recycled bottles, transforming them into vibrant plant pots. Each pot was filled with rich soil, carefully chosen seedlings like mint, oregano, and citronella, and of course—a little love and water. 🌱
These handcrafted planters now rest proudly on our balcony, catching the sun and swaying in the breeze, a living symbol of what young hearts can do when guided by purpose.
🌿 What We’re Growing (besides plants):
Responsibility – Every child is now the proud caretaker of their seedling.
Awareness – They’ve learned about sustainability, recycling, and the importance of plants.
Joy – There’s nothing quite like watching something you planted grow.
📸 Coming Soon: Our Garden Gallery! Stay tuned! We’ll be sharing photos of our blossoming bottle gardens soon. The kids can’t wait to show off their work and inspire others to join in the green fun.
This project was more than just planting—it was about planting values, vision, and hope for a greener tomorrow. Thank you for supporting and encouraging our little stewards of the Earth.
With pride and green thumbs, 🌱 The Kalayaan Angono Team
