Empowering Our Area Coordinators for Greater Impact
Issue: August 2025
Dear ESP Volunteers,
You are the heart and hands of our mission—faithfully guiding, supporting, and nurturing our sponsored children across different areas. Each visit you make, every story you collect, and every child you encourage brings our mission to life. 🌱
As we grow together, we want to equip you better—not just with passion, but with the tools and skills that will make your work easier, more efficient, and more impactful.
💻 Capacity Building Highlights
We recently held a series of Capacity Building Sessions for our ESP Volunteers, focusing on basic computer literacy, record and report writing skills. Here’s a look at what we covered—and what we hope you’ll take with you moving forward:
🧠 1. Basic Computer Literacy
Even small steps in learning technology can lead to big leaps in our work.
✅ What we learned:
-
Turning on and navigating a computer
-
Creating and saving documents
-
Using email and sending attachments
-
Basic Excel for organizing data
💡 Why it matters:
Being confident with computers helps you submit reports faster, stay organized, and opens doors to more opportunities for growth.

📝 2. Records Keeping
Keeping accurate and organized records helps track progress and ensures nothing falls through the cracks.
✅ What we learned:
-
Documenting daily activities and fieldwork
-
Categorizing and storing records properly
-
Maintaining confidentiality and accuracy
-
Using logs and forms for easy tracking
💡 Why it matters:
Well-kept records make follow-ups easier, support accountability, and help measure impact over time. It also makes reporting smoother and more reliable.
📝 3. Report Writing Made Easy
We know reports can sometimes feel overwhelming—but they’re simply stories with purpose. Reports don’t have to be complicated — with the right approach, they become powerful tools for communication.
✅ What we practiced:
-
Structuring clear and concise reports
-
Highlighting key achievements and challenges
-
Using simple language to tell the story of our work
-
Tailoring reports to the intended audience
📌 Tips to Remember:
-
Use simple language.
-
Be honest and detailed, but brief.
-
Include names, dates, and outcomes.
💡 Why it matters:
Strong report writing allows ESP Volunteers to showcase their efforts, share learnings, and contribute to informed decision-making at all levels.
🧡 Your reports matter. They help sponsors see the difference their support is making—and they help us support you better, too.

🌟 Why We Do This
Capacity building isn’t just about learning skills—it’s about building confidence. We believe in you. When you grow, our entire mission grows. When you’re equipped, our children are empowered. Together, we are creating real change, one child and one story at a time.
🙌 Thank You, Volunteers!
Your dedication does not go unnoticed. From the most remote barangays to the busy city corners, you are bringing hope into every household. With each report you write, each record you keep, and every skill you gain—you’re helping a child dream bigger.
