A Meaningful Start to the Christmas Season
On the day of December 4, 2024, SPECS Staff, Volunteers and Interns gathered together for their highly anticipated Annual Advent Celebration. This heartwarming event marked the beginning of the Christmas season, bringing together in a spirit of joy, reflection, and gratitude.
An Afternoon of Festivities and Reflection
The annual Advent celebration is a beloved tradition at SPECS, offering the Staff, Volunteers and Interns an opportunity to reflect on the true meaning of Christmas while enjoying festive activities. This year, the event was filled with special moments, from the lighting of the Advent candles to the sharing of Christmas stories and carols. The Staff, Volunteers and Interns participated in a beautiful program that brought everyone closer, reminding them of the season’s message of hope, faith, joy, peace and love
The afternoon began with a prayer and everyone reflected on the Five themes of Advent: Hope, Faith, Peace, Joy, and Love. Together, they lit the Advent candles, each representing one of these values, and shared a moment of quiet contemplation.

As we move through the Advent season, SPECS remains committed to ensuring that the children in our care continue to experience love, hope, and joy not only during Christmas but throughout the year.
